Laura started dancing at age 3 in Edmonton, Alberta. Her background includes Hip Hop, Ballroom, Latin, Swing, Jazz Funk, Jazz, Modern and ballet. Laura has been teaching Hip Hop to adults since 2004 and has been an active choreographer for a variety of shows including the Canadian Cancer Society’s “Keep Your Head Up Tour”. Laura also had the unique opportunity to be a performer at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics and danced alongside K-Os at the Closing Ceremonies.

Laura was a competitive Ballroom and Latin dancer through Dancesport BC and consistently placed in the finals for her age and division. She still actively performs with her partner and continues to train both here in Victoria and in Utah with some of the top professional couples in North America.

Laura discovered Passion and Performance Dance Studio in 2012 when she attended a Chair Dance workshop for a friends stagette. She quickly signed up for classes and the Competitive Program. Laura firmly believes that anyone and everyone can dance no matter their age, shape, size or ability. When the desire to dance is there, no one can stop you.
