Rachel Coppick-Paish

Rachel Paish is recent graduate from the University of Victoria with a degree in Women’s Studies. She is pleased to be able to combine her two life passions: dance – which she’s been doing for as long as she can remember – and her work with sexuality and gender. Rachel’s Passion classes offer a fun approach to health, sexuality, and expression. She focuses not only on what it means to feel “sexy,” but also how to find confidence within yourself and be a sexually confident and empowered individual. Rachel is happy to provide classes for women who find that there is nowhere for them to dance after graduating high school that is both affordable and challenging. Rachel started her first independent dance company, Vibe Dancers, at age 15 in Duncan, BC . Always pushing the limits, Rachel, with the help of her dance partner, created prize-winning partner dances that rocked local dance festivals. After moving to Victoria, Rachel found herself back in the dance scene and is fortunate to be able to continue her passion for theatre, dance, and teaching. The recent successes Rachel has earned through Passion and Performance including being on the cover of Monday Magazine and runner up for Young Entrepreneur of the Year from the Victoria Chamber of Commerce have been a rewarding experience and she is looking forward to more in the future. Rachel believes that it is important to strive forward, not accept what is just in front of you and to always create something new and exciting that you believe in.
