Join the fun this season with our Holiday Rockettes class, where we’ll be preparing a dazzling performance for our Candy Cane Cabaret Show!

Step into the spotlight and kick like a Rockette! This intermediate-level jazz class brings Broadway flair to Vancouver with precision kicks, sparkling formations, and all the theatrical “cheese” you can handle. Inspired by the iconic Radio City Rockettes, you’ll work on clean lines, musicality, performance quality, and that larger-than-life stage presence. Expect high-energy combos, challenging choreography, and plenty of razzle-dazzle. Perfect for dancers with a jazz background who want to sharpen their technique while having fun with show-stopping, Broadway-style moves.
What to Expect

Warm-Up: We’ll begin with a dynamic warm-up to enhance flexibility, strength, and endurance. The focus will be on prepping your body for the high kicks, sharp lines, and precise movements required in Rockette-style choreography.
Technique: Dive into the essentials of the Rockettes' signature moves:
Kicklines: Learn the fundamentals of synchronized high kicks with emphasis on form, control, and timing.
Jazz Combinations: Crisp, clean movements that blend jazz technique with showgirl flair.
Formation Work: Practice seamless transitions and formations to create that signature unified look.
Choreography: We’ll be working on a special Rockette-inspired routine to be performed in the Candy Cane Cabaret on December 14. Expect holiday-themed music, kicklines, and dazzling group choreography.
Cool Down: To end, we’ll focus on cooling down and stretching to help your muscles recover and maintain flexibility after an energetic class

Footwear: Jazz shoes or character heels (with a heel height you’re comfortable dancing in). If you’re new to heels, feel free to start with jazz shoes.

Who This Class is For
This is a Level 2 class, so some Jazz or Rockette style experience is mandatory and this class will not be open to beginners. Expect Choreo with a slight challenge and opportunity to learn techniques past a beginner level!
