Overview
Jazz 1/2 is a beginner to intermediate-level, technique-focused class perfect for students looking to build a strong foundation in jazz dance. This program is designed to teach essential technical skills while fostering confidence, strength, and versatility that can be applied to other dance genres.
What to Expect
- Learn fundamental techniques such as safe turning, jumping, rolling, and kicking.
- Practice and refine skills through cross-floor combinations and short choreography pieces.
- Develop body awareness, flexibility, and coordination in a supportive and encouraging environment.
- Showcase your progress with two performances between September and June.
Attire and Requirements
- Attire: Comfortable dancewear such as leggings, fitted shorts, or leotards with a tank or t-shirt. Ensure clothing allows freedom of movement.
- Requirements: Hair should be tied back. Bring water and a willingness to learn and grow!
Footwear Options
Jazz shoes are recommended for proper technique and support.
