Our 2018-2019 season is here, and we are ready to kick it off with our favourite community event: Donation Days! We are offering a ton of new classes and couldn’t be more excited!
Donation Days is an opportunity to try out our classes by providing a small donation at the door. This year we recommend a $2 donation or non-perishable food items per class. All proceeds go to Bridges for Women Society.

~~~Company Chair Class Audition~~~
For our second year now, we are offering experienced chair dancers the opportunity to take their skills above and beyond in a 10-month Competitive Program class that offers several opportunities to perform. The class expands upon skills learned in lower level chair classes and will challenge dancers to execute more challenging choreography and tricks. Our Company Chair class will have a maximum of 14 students and will require a full 10-month commitment until June 2019.
The Auditions are held for casting, and we will offer a maximum of 14 spots.
Audition date (and class time):
Tuesday, September 11th: 7:00 – 8:15 pm
In order to audition you must have completed 1-year of chair dancing at Passion and Performance, and have a minimum 3+ years of experience in at least one of the following genres:
• Modern or Lyrical/Contemporary
• Hip Hop
~~~Burlesque Troupe Placement Class~~~
P&P’s Burlesque Troupe is now entering its third year and has proven to be a huge success! We now offer two levels of Burlesque Troupe. All students interested in Burlesque are encouraged to attend the audition and will be placed in one of our two classes.
Level 1 will remain an introduction to burlesque basics, including tassel twirling, the art of the reveal, and boa work. No previous dance or burlesque experience is required for level 1.
Level 2 will offer students with dance or burlesque experience the opportunity to build on their skills, and to incorporate technique to create group performance pieces that are both sexy and challenging.
The class placement auditions will determine which Burlesque troupe class you are in based on your dancing background, skill level, and availability.
The two class times are as follows: Level 1, Tuesdays 8:15-9:30PM; and Level 2, Tuesdays 6:00-7:15pm.
Audition date (and class time):
Tuesday, September 11th: 6:00-7:15PM
~~~Lyrical/Contemporary Placement Classes~~~
For the first time at P&P we are running a Lyrical/Contemporary Placement Class. We offer two levels of Lyrical/Contemporary, and the placement classes will help determine which level is the best fit for each dancer’s skillset and technical background. All students interested in Lyrical/Contemporary are encouraged to attend one or both of the placement classes during donation days.
Placement classes fall in that same timeslots as the lyrical/contemporary classes take place during the year. If you are only available to take classes on one day or the other due to time constraints, there will be a spot on the audition form to indicate that preference.
Placement class dates and times:
Level 1 – Wednesday, Sept. 12th 7pm-8:15pm
Level 2 – Monday, Sept. 10th 8:15pm-9:30pm
