We’re going back in time and we’re taking you with us! From Bell-bottoms to disco sparkles, we want to see you dressed in your 70’s best! We’re eager to embrace the era’s diverse and dynamic fashion. To ensure a respectful and inclusive celebration, we kindly ask you to be mindful of cultural sensitivity when selecting costumes. While exploring the vibrant styles of the ’70s, we urge you to avoid costumes that could be perceived as culturally inappropriate. Specifically, we kindly request refraining from dressing as Soul Train dancers, pimps, or donning Afros as these can carry unintended cultural connotations. Let’s celebrate the fashion of the ’70s with creativity and respect, steering clear of stereotypes or misrepresentations. Your understanding and cooperation contribute to a welcoming atmosphere that honours the era while respecting the various backgrounds and traditions within our community. We appreciate your commitment to making this ’70s show an enjoyable and culturally sensitive experience for everyone.

Any more questions? Our team would be happy to answer them. You can email us at

Vancouver: We acknowledge that we are on the unceded traditional territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. We are grateful to share our art and create here. We are uninvited guests on these unceded lands, and while we are able to have our dance classes, businesses and homes here, indigenous people have and continue to suffer under colonization.

Victoria: Passion and Performance acknowledges that it organizes and works on the traditional territories of the Lekwungen peoples, and that the land’s historical relationships with the Songhees, Esquimalt and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples have existed since time immemorial. Further to this acknowledgement, Passion and Performance affirms that colonialism, and the attitudes and practices that have accompanied it, contributes to systemic discrimination and violence against Indigenous Peoples. We encourage all members of our community to learn more about Truth and Reconciliation.
