Company Auditions

It’s time to bring back one of our most popular programs! We are hosting auditions for our 2021/2022 Company Class.

Audition Dates:
Tuesday, September 14th, 2021 8:15-9:30 pm OR Thursday, September 16th, 2021 8:15-9:30 pm
Note: You only have to attend one audition, not both.

**If you cannot make it to the audition, please contact us at info@passionandperformance.com. Brand new students will be able to submit an audition video. Alternatively, there may be an opportunity to attend a different class as an ‘audition’ with teacher permission.

What to bring:
-Water
-Appropriate footwear (jazz shoes preferable)
-Credit card or pre-authorized banking (void cheque) information for registration

~~~Company Class Auditions~~~
Our auditions are for placement in one of our two Company Classes (Tuesday/Thursday from 8:15-9:30PM). Each class has room for 15 students, meaning our Company program has room for a maximum of 30 dancers. We will not be offering students a choice between the Tuesday or Thursday class this year.

*New for 2021-2022 – We now have an online Audition Form that we ask all perspective and returning Company students to fill out at least 48 hours BEFORE the audition. https://forms.gle/X9AaYRNDSNz9qwLR6 

Our Company class is for dancers over the age of 19, with a minimum of 10 years of dance experience in one of the following genres:
• Ballet
• Jazz
• Modern
• Hip Hop
• Lyrical/Contemporary
• Gymnastics

Students in this level 3 class should be comfortable with the following terminology and should be able to perform:

-Double pirouettes
-Axle jumps
-Barrel jumps
-Floor work including backwards rolls
-Be comfortable with fast-paced choreography

Each Company class (Tuesday/Thursday from 8:15-9:30PM) will learn two dances, including a joint Production number that they will perform at our 2022 Showcase. The showcase is in June, so this class does require a full 10-month commitment. Dropping out of the program will result in re-choreography and re-spacing fees.

**Students in our Company program are required to take a second technique based class at the studio. Acceptable classes are Cabaret Jazz, Hip Hop, Barre, Ballet Skills,  Jazz Technique, Lyrical/Contemporary, or Splits Skills.

It is free to audition, and class membership fees start at $89 per month plus GST (costume fees are extra).

The Company class is part of our Competitive Program, meaning there is a 10-month commitment required.

Classes begin the following week.

Students may have additional opportunities to perform throughout the year.

Do you want to take part but don’t have the 10 years of dance experience?

Our Jazz Technique, Lyrical/Contemporary, or Cabaret Jazz classes are great places to start. We also offer Recreational classes for beginners that include: Chair Dance, Pop Culture, Hotness Skills, Tie Up and Tease, Hip Hop Skills and more.
