~~~Company Chair Class Audition~~~
New this year, we are offering experienced Chair dancers the opportunity to take their skills above and beyond their expectations in a 10-month class which will offer several opportunities to perform. The class will expand upon skills learned in lower level chair classes and will challenge dancers to execute more challenging choreography and tricks. The class will have a maximum of 12 students, and will require a full 10-month commitment until early June 2018.
The Auditions will be for casting, and we will be offering a maximum of 12 spots.
Audition date (and class time):
Tuesday September 12: 7:00 – 8:15 pm
In order to audition you must have completed 1 year of chair dancing at Passion and Performance, and a minimum 3 years of experience in at least one of the following genres:
• Ballet
• Jazz
• Modern/Lyrical/
• Hip Hop
• Gymnastics
~~~Burlesque Troupe Auditions~~~
P&Ps Burlesque Troupe was new last year, and has been a huge success! So much so, that we’re expanding our program this year, and will be offering two levels of Burlesque Troupe! All students interested in Burlesque are encouraged to attend the audition, and will be placed in one of two classes. Level 1 will remain an introduction to burlesque basics including tassle twirling, the art of the reveal and boa work. No previous dance or burlesque experience is required for level 1.
Level 2 will offer students with dance or burlesque experience the opportunity to build on their burlesque skills, and to incorporate jazz and ballet technique to create group performance piece that are sexy and challenging.
Don’t let the word “Auditions” scare you, no one gets turned away! The class placement auditions will determine which Burlesque troupe class you are in based on your dancing background, skill level, and availability. The two class times are as follows: Level 1, Tuesdays 6-7:15pm; and Level 2, Tuesdays 8:15-9:30pm.

~~~Company Class Auditions~~~
The end of high school does not mean you have to tuck away your shoes while your love of dance simmers. The Company class is for people over 18, with a minimum of 5 years of dance experience, who are looking to continue their craft with their peers. Each class will learn two dances that they will perform at the 2018 Spring Showcase. The showcase is in June 2018, so this class requires a full 10 month commitment.
Don’t let the word “Auditions” scare you, no one gets turned away! The audition will be for placement in one of two Company Classes. Past Passion and Performance dancers will know this class as “Competitive Performance Class”, but we’ve done a little rebranding! Same fun class, brand new name :)

Thursday September 14: 8:15 – 9:30 pm
In order to audition you must have minimum 5 years of experience in at least one of the following genres:
• Ballet
• Jazz
• Modern/Lyrical/
• Hip Hop
• Gymnastics
The class placement auditions will determine which Company class you are in based on your dancing background, skill level, and availability. The 2 class times for the 2017-2018 year are Tuesday 8:15-9:30pm and Thursday 8:15-9:30pm.
In addition to Company class, students will be required to take a dance technique class. This could be Jazz Technique (we offer three levels on Wednesdays) or Lyrical/Contemporary (we offer two levels on Mondays).

It is free to audition and class membership fees start at $75 per month plus GST (Costume Fee Extra). These classes are all a part of our Competitive Program, meaning there is a 10 month commitment required. Students of all Competitive Program Classes will have multiple opportunities to perform throughout the year! You will also be invited to our really fun Bonding Sessions!
Do you really want to take part but don’t have the 5 years of dance experience? Our Jazz Technique and Lyrical/Contemporary, or Cabaret Jazz Level 1 classes are for you! We also have Recreation level classes for beginners including: Chair Dancing, Pop Culture, Hotness 101 and Tie Up and Tease, or a Barre class if you’re just looking for some fun conditioning.
